Accomplishments

Yesterday, I completed 2 1/2 hours of laundry folding. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, because I watched the Mormon version of Pride and Prejudice and an episode of Doctor Who.

After I finished the laundry, I went to Enrichment night with the young women and Relief Society, where delicious soup and amazing cupcakes were served. The soup came in those really cool bread-bowl things, and I find bread very yummy.. The cupcakes were fantastic mainly because of the frosting on top.... It was soooo good.

Then, I came home and went through my entire wardrobe, getting rid of clothes I don't wear anymore, putting the dirty ones in the laundry, and folding the rest to put in my newly organized drawers. Considering the fact that literally all of my clothes were on the floor next to my dresser, rather than inside it, I'm feeling pretty good. Plus, now can find everything I want to wear.

So, the thing that made me happy was the sense of accomplishment I felt after dealing with two clothing messes that plagued our house. (The food made me pretty happy too.)

Today, a cute boy from my history class looked at me and said "You look so cute today!" And, I mean, it always means something to me when somebody compliments me, especially when I had a bad day. (Although, today was a really good day.)

I can recall having really terrible days and just wanting to go back to bed, and then someone would give me a compliment, and make everything better.
I hate to sound really superficial, and that's not what I'm aiming at, but little things like that just really help the "good times roll".

I guess the best part of this was the sincerity lining his voice when he said it. It made me happy, because guys don't often give those kinds of compliments, and... yes.

I'm starting to ramble, so I will bid you adieu.

Today, the cute ribbons I get to wear in the Emerald City scene made me happy. They are really exaggerated and rather adorable.

I actually really enjoy my whole Emerald City costume. It's really cute, in a sort of awkward way. Mainly, the awkwardness stems from the fact that the shorts are really short, but I do wear tights.

I like pie.

It's So Fluffy I'm Gonna Die!!!

These are some pictures of me with my fluffy warm blanket, because today, my blanket made me happy.

I really like having something like this, because it is fantastic and polka-dotted. It's a literal security blanket.

It happens to be warmer than my winter coat, which is strange, and wonderful.

Also, on the tag, it says "Caution in usage: This item is intended for decorative use only and is not a toy."

I find it hilarious that you apparently are not supposed to USE the blanket.

I love how when you're in drama, things that are usually awkward are not.

Anyway, today, bad puns make me happy. For example, I like it when a Tree (in the Wizard of Oz) says the line: "I think it's time we boughed out."

I really enjoy lame puns. I mean, they're incredibly stupid, but somehow also hilarious.

Here's one that I said accidentally one day while we were talking about our favorite elements and which we would want to control if we could. As everyone went around speaking about their favorites, it was my turn and I said "I like earth. I tend to gravitate towards it."

Elephants

This picture is fantastic.

I can only think of one thing greater than being
happy and that is to help another to be happy, too.

Today, I was walking through the hallway, on the way to my mother's classroom to wait for rehearsal to begin. As I was walking, one of the seniors in Encore (Encore is kind of like a glee club, but not really.) said "Hi Canada, how are you?"

I know that it sounds lame, but it meant a lot to me, even though it was totally a simple gesture. But I mean, I'm only a sophomore, so it was cool that he would even notice me walking through the hall.

I think the main reason that this made me happy was that I was feeling kind of lame and insecure only seconds before, and his simple hello reminded me that I am worth something.

What made you happy today?
